Trinity F90+: Transforming Industries with Cutting-Edge Technology

The Quantum Systems Trinity F90+ VTOL (vertical take off and landing) is an industry-leading UAV that features long flight times, multiple high-resolution payload options, and a robust and integrated design. With the push of a button, the Trinity F90+ will map thousands of acres autonomously and it features a remote control that is easy to use with emergency override capabilities. It is also compatible with up to 6 different advanced sensors and cameras, including 42 MP RGB, multispectral, LiDAR, and Oblique.

It has the longest flight time in its class, thanks to its optimized fixed-wing design and efficient motors. The Trinity's 90 minute flight time has been useful in several industries with its ability to cover large areas quickly with a long-range telemetry solution of up to 7.5km. Additionally, the Trinity features integrated and included (at no extra charge) PPK capabilities for survey-grade accuracy.

Some of the different industries utilizing the Trinity F90+ are:

Agriculture

The Quantum Systems Trinity F90+ is perfect for surveying large fields and monitoring crop growth and soil conditions. The detailed imagery and data collected by the Fixed-wing UAV can be used to identify areas of poor crop growth, track changes in soil moisture, and monitor the health of crops over time.

The Trinity F90+ is fully integrated with the multispectral Micasense Altum-PT allowing farmers to get a precise aerial view, one that goes beyond the visible spectrum. A Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) can be captured by the VTOL drone , allowing farmers to acquire precise, actionable information regarding their fields. The F90+'s PPK module provides high-accuracy corrections to every single integrated payload, including the Altum-PT. Thanks to the panchromatic band, Altum-PT enables high-resolution RGB, multispectral, and thermal imagery in a single flight for plant counting, detection plant phenotyping, fruit yield estimations, water stress prediction, and more.

Environmental Monitoring and Conservation

The Trinity F90+ is used to survey large ecosystems and natural resources, such as forests, wetlands, and wildlife habitats. The detailed imagery and data collected by the Fixed-wing UAV helps identify and map different types of vegetation, track changes in land cover over time, and monitor the health of the ecosystem.

According to a research in May 2020 by the University of Louisiana, and the Nelson Ecosystem Laboratory, the Trinity F90+ integrated with Sony UMC R10C allowed the researchers to study the site quickly and more effectively; counting 4,320 pelican nests in 30 minutes while make sure not to disturb the wildlife.

The Sony UMC is a 20 MP integrated RGB camera that is perfect for quick and accurate orthophotos. While not having as high of a resolution as the 42 MP Sony RX1RII, the UMC is better suited for agile jobs that need quicker processing.

Urban Planning and Development

Many organizations have turned to the Trinity F90+ to survey large areas of land and map existing infrastructure and land use patterns. This information is used to identify areas for potential development, plan new infrastructure projects, and monitor changes in land use over time. The Trinity F90+ UAV aids in urban planning and development by providing high-resolution aerial imagery and data. It also supports land development in the following:

• Survey and map urban areas to create accurate maps and 3D models of buildings, infrastructure, and other features.

• Monitor construction sites to track progress and identify potential issues.

• Conduct environmental impact assessments to identify potential impacts of new development projects on the surrounding area.

• Provide aerial views of urban areas to aid in the visualization of proposed development plans.

Many users prefer to use the Qube 240 LiDAR payload for these applications as the 3-returns allow operators to penetrate canopy and brush to get an accurate ground model for planning applications. With the Qube 240, the Trinity F90+ has a flight-time of one hour - at an industry-standard 50% side overlap, users can cover hundreds of acres in a single flight that can all be georeferenced from a single base station for survey-grade LiDAR data.

Geology and Mineral Exploration

The Trinity F90+ is also used extensively in the mining sector to survey large areas of land and map natural resources such as oil, gas, and minerals. The detailed imagery and data collected by the UAV can be used to identify areas of potential mineral deposits and track changes in land cover over time. Companies are utilizing the VTOL drone to:

Survey and map: equipped with the right payload such as, the Oblique D2M, Trinity can survey and map mines, providing a cost-effective, efficient and accurate way of collecting data and creating 3D models of mine sites.

Environmental monitoring: Trinity F90+ can also be used to monitor environmental impact and provide real-time data on the progress of reclamation efforts.

Inventory management: it can be used to automate inventory management and keep track of resources, reducing manual labor and improving efficiency.

Production optimization: through the collection of data that can then be analyzed to optimize production processes, increase safety, efficiency, and reduce costs.

The Oblique D2M is a true oblique imaging system with five high-resolution multi-directional cameras. It is the perfect tool for large scale 3D photogrammetry and is used in areas with difficult terrain such as open pit mines as the four oblique and one NADIR camera capture this complex geometry with ease. Each camera is 26 MP and a custom high-speed storage allows for a trigger interval less than 0.8 seconds.

Disaster Management and Emergency Response

The Trinity F90+ is ideal to survey large areas quickly and efficiently, providing detailed information that can be used to assess the extent of damage caused by natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and wildfires. Additionally, It can support the following initiatives:

Survey damage: by quickly surveying the damage after a disaster, allowing responders to get a better idea of the scope of the situation and plan their response accordingly.

Search and rescue: Equipped with the right payload and thermal imaging, Trinity can be used to search for survivors in large areas, such as forests.

Monitoring evacuation: it can also be used to monitor and assist in evacuations by providing crowd movements and traffic patterns.

Mapping and geospatial data: UAVs can provide detailed maps and geospatial data, which can be used to plan and coordinate disaster response efforts.
