Laser Falcon Remote Methane Leak Detector
Laser Falcon Remote Methane Leak Detector

Laser Falcon Remote Methane Leak Detector

    $1.00

The Laser Falcon remote methane sensor is designed for detection and localization of fugitive leaks by solid waste management, agricultural, or natural gas stakeholders, and or natural gas pipeline surveys, tank inspections, landfill emission monitoring, gas well testing, and plant safety audits.

The lightweight laser-type methane gas detector outperforms foot search by 5 times, detects leaks that are referenced to GPS coordinates (high fidelity RTK GPS is also supported) with precision and no false readings of other gases.

Measurement data is sent through a communication port and is backed up in a USB stick. Power supply through the external power connector enables continuous operation of the device.

An algorithm calculates the gas concentration in ppm×m (parts per million multiplied by meter). The value is instantly transferred to the remote control (RC) of the drone pilot and to UgCS software.

The system consists of the drone integrated with methane detector Laser Falcon by PERGAM. The full integration is ensured by adding the onboard computer UgCS SkyHub to the system.

    Features and Benefits

    - Track the inspected route with coordinates and gas concentration
    - On-line (in-flight) data transmission to the drone operator’s console — through the standard DJI communication line
    - Easy data export for reporting
    - Eye-safe Class 3R laser
    - Automatic time synchronization by GPS / GLONASS. Report created with all necessary information (time, leak concentration, GPS coordinates, maps)
    - Maximum flexibility to install on any type of UAV
    - Detection limits are from 1 to 50'000 ppm×m within 20m distance
    - Data transmission is enabled within 5km distance
    - Terrain following: 3D maps of UgCS allow planning flight missions in terrain-following mode. Adding UgCS SkyHub and an altimeter to the system will enable flying in True Terrain Following mode.

    How it works:

    1. Mount the methane-leak-detection kit onto the drone

    2. Plan survey mission with UgCS

    3. Receive data during flight

    4. Generate a report with location of detected methane leaks
